Theo joined the lab to lead the Virtual Fence project in collaboration with The Nature Conservancy, Mushrush Ranches, the Dodds lab, and the National Park Service. Theo brings a rich expertise in prairie ecology (plants, microbes, soils), project management, and the intersection of human and natural landscapes. And that’s just the professional side! Writer, rider (of horses and bikes), and human extraordinaire. She comes to us from California by way of Lawrence KS (PhD at KU) and Lincoln NE (postdoc at UNL).
