Katy Silber

PhD, 2023 & postdoc

Katy’s PhD dissertation determined the direct and indirect effects of weather on grassland songbirds, from physiological to community levels. She integrated mechanistic drivers into a holistic understanding of how weather affects populations of grassland birds. She defended in 2023, stayed on as a post-doc leading the Virtual Fence project, and now works at the Institute for Applied Ecology in Santa Fe.
